馔钰五金命名取自【唐李白将进酒】:「与君歌一曲，请君为我倾耳听。岑夫子，丹丘生，将进酒，杯莫停，钟鼓馔玉何足贵，但愿长醉不复醒。」诗中馔玉本意为极品佳肴奢华美宴。玉是中国传统代表品德与地位的宝玉，而钰是指坚硬的金石， 透过发掘、雕刻、打模、抛光可成为具有价值的宝石。
模座的材质，需为坚硬钢料，坚固稳定不易变形。模座的制程，需经过钻、车、铣、冲而完成始可供模具使用。模座的功能在于保持冲压上下加工时的精准度。
